Packet no.5: Slavers & Privateers

  This packet contains leaflets, pamphlets and drawings of the time illustrating mans' inhumanity to man.....and how the trade was thought perfectly respectable.  Now we can look back on the highly profitable triangular trade and wonder at the cruelty inflicted on our fellow beings for profit.  The slaves were thought of as commodities  and dehumanised as thus. The abolitionists were brave indeed to stand up to commerce.
